ContaminEX Decontamination Fluid

ContaminEX ® Hard Surface Decontamination Fluid Concentrate has been developed for the Laboratory and Nuclear Decontamination Sector to remove surface contamination and radioactive isotope residue from virtually all hard surfaces except poly carbonates or non-ferrous metals such as zinc or aluminium.  Where these material need to be treated, use ContaminEx wipes.

Description

ContaminEX ® Decontamination Fluid has been developed for the Laboratory and Nuclear Decontamination Sector to remove surface contamination and remove radioactive isotope residue.

 

ContaminEX is a highly alkali surface decontamination solution that should not come into contact with polycarbonates or non-ferrous metals such as zinc or aluminium.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Shake the bottle well before making solution
  2. Dilute using potable (Tap) water.

Top Tip: Using warm water (Up to 50oC) and/or an ultrasonic cleaning bath will speed up the cleaning time

20-30ml ContaminEX   to 1 Litre Water for General Cleaning

40-100ml ContaminEX   to 1 Litre Water for Persistent Contamination

Fully immerse and soak the items to be cleaned for up to 24 Hours depending on level of contamination ensuring no air bubbles.  Agitate items & solution from time to time to reduce contact time and improve cleaning.

  1. Following Decontamination & Cleaning, remove from the solution and rinse thoroughly under flowing water ensuring all visible traces of ContaminEX are removed.
  2. Dry thoroughly use low lint cloths or allow to air dry or use air dryer.

In certain specialised or critical areas, demineralised water can be used.

 

Contains amongst other ingredients
1-5% Amphoteric Detergent
1-5% Non-ionic Detergent
Also contains:-Potassium Hydroxide, Nitrilo acetic acid salts, Acetodiphosphonic acid.

 

ContaminEX is an extremely economical surface treatment for decontaminating most hard surfaces and can save £’s over other proprietary brands.
